How to restore default parameters
The EWF3 must remain docked within the mounting plate, as factory restoration is performed
otherwise it will be blocked.
Press and hold the TEST WEEKLY button while the sounder emits more than nine
acoustic signals.
The detector restores factory configurations and becomes fully prepared to bind
with the ELDES alarm system.
How to test the unit
The TEST WEEKLY button verifies if EWF3 is operational. Firmly push the TEST WEEKLY button for 1 second and the detector will sound 3 beeps loudly.
Test the detectors weekly and upon returning from vacation or when no one has been in the household for several days.
Test each detector to be sure it is installed correctly and operating properly.
DO NOT use an open flame to test this detector. You may ignite and damage the detector or your home.
MALFUNCTION. If you hear a “beep” with the yellow LED flashing once 48 seconds, it indicates that the detector doesn’t work properly. Please have it repaired or serviced:
“Beep” 3 times with yellow LED flashing 1 times means smoke sensor trouble,
please clean the smoke chamber or EWF3 must be replaced.
“Beep” 1 times with yellow LED flashing 1 times means that the smoke detector
non-replaceable battery low voltage and EWF3 must be replaced.
2 times with yellow LED flashing 2 times means “Clean me”, please clean
the smoke chamber.
“Beep” 2 times with yellow LED flashing 1 times means “Low sensitivity”, please
clean the smoke chamber.
“Beep” 1 times with yellow LED flashing 4 times means that the smoke detector
reached 10 years of operation and EWF3 must be replaced.
