You only need alarm panel to power up the ET083. No router configuration is needed as well. Ability to configure the communicator in Eldes Utility will make the installation 2 times faster! Maintain ET083 from your chair – configure and update its firmware remotely!
ET083 provides GSM/GPRS and LAN* connectivity for third-party alarm panels. Multiple ways of connection allows the effective usage of the product: Serial Cable, KEYPAD BUS and PSTN/RING TIP interface. ET083 can be easily connected to almost any monitoring station using a free EGR100 software. It supports 5 main protocols (SIA IP, Kronos, Cortex SMS, EGR100 and Contact ID). 3 on-board inputs and 3 outputs can be used for connecting wired sensors, home appliances or alarm panel’s PGM outputs.
*LAN connectivity can be enabled by using ELAN3-ALARM

1. Unplug the USB cable.
2. Power down the device.
3. Short-circuit (connect) the DEF pins.
4. Power up the device for 7 seconds.
5. Power down the device.
6. Remove the short-circuit from DEF pins.
7. Parameters restored to default.

It is also possible to configure device via SMS commands.
Yes, ET083 can operate without SIM card. It will be possible to control device via PSTN line only.
Send SMS message to SIM card that is inserted to ET083 with text:
XXXX FOTA (example: 1111 FOTA) (SMS can contain upper or lower case letters)
XXXX – Your SMS password.
System will inform you automatically via SMS message when FW will be updated. This can take up to 20 minutes depending on GPRS connection speed.
You can download latest ESIM384 firmware from https://eldesalarms.com/product/et083/#firmware . Please make sure you are logged in to our webpage to be able download files. When file is downloaded and saved to your PC use following instruction:
1. Power down the device.
2. Short-circuit (connect) the DEF pins.
3. Connect the device via USB cable to the PC.
4. The new window must pop-up where you will find the .bin file. Otherwise open Computer and look for Boot Disk drive.
5. Delete the .bin file found in the drive.
6. Copy the new firmware .bin file to the very same window.
7. Unplug the USB cable.
8. Remove the short-circuit from DEF pins.
9. Power up the device.
10. Firmware updated.
Settings of ET083 will not disappear after firmware update via FOTA.
For ET083 configuration you can connect USB cable only. It will supply enough power.
For normal work please be sure to connect ET083 to external power supply.
In case you are using Advanced Kissoff Mode, take off both JP8 and JP9 PINs.
ET083 supports DC-09-2007 and DC-09-2013 versions of SIA IP protocols.
ET083 tampers are disabled by default. You can activate notifications about tamper alarm/restore using our free Eldes Utility Tool software:

Yes, it can be used as backup communication channel, but only with Advanced Kissoff Mode.
